With more playgrounds opening up in our area, we'd like to offer some safety reminders. In addition to these equipment safety tips, here are some to observe during the current COVID crisis:
If parents and children decide to visit playgrounds, the CDC recommends:
o Maintaining 6 feet of distance from people not in your household
o Washing hands frequently
o Wearing a cloth face covering, if you can (not recommended for children under age 2 or for individuals with certain medical conditions)
o Staying away from playgrounds and parks if you are sick or came into contact with anyone who recently tested positive for COVID-19
o Avoid crowded parks and playgrounds
